Volunteer Opportunities

Tour de Coeur Bicycle Ride and Family Fun Day is an event completely planned and run by volunteers. All proceeds from the event are donated to the American Cancer Society (ACS) to fund research, advocacy, programs and services but no ACS funds are used to make Tour de Coeur happen.

Well, this is the eighth year of Tour de Coeur and we are expecting 400 riders or more, so the current Tour de Coeur committee welcomes and encourages new committee members! Whether you have a few hours a month or 40 hours a week, we can use your help!!! For more information or to volunteer, contact Cynthia at 208-772-8105 or 800-537-7710 option 3 ext 295.

Volunteer now for:

Corporate Sponsorship Committee:

Committee members are needed to help contact corporate sponsors. Corporate sponsorship helps to underwrite the cost of items such as food, supplies, shirts and mailings. Corporate sponsorship opportunities range from helping with mailings to making presentations to potential sponsors, to following up with the sponsors to assure they realize how much we truly appreciate their support.

Registration:

The Registration Committee Chair position is currently open. This position is responsible for receiving and organizing registrations, working with committee members to set up and staff the registration area on the day of the event.

Logistics:

Course set up and take down: We are looking for a few people to help on the day of the ride to set up the courses. This is an EARLY morning job, but is sure a fun committee to be a part of!!!

On Site:

Plan the onsite set up and take down. This includes the registration area, tables for vendors, food area, etc.

Food Committee:

A committee chair is currently needed for the food area. This is an important responsibility that includes working with the existing food sponsors, securing new food sponsorship, setting up the food area and overseeing the volunteers on the day of the event.

Website assistance:

We need volunteers to contact bicycle shops, clubs, local businesses and recreational venues to invite them to link to our web site. Some long distance calling will be necessary, but free long distance is available.

Committee members at large:

Do a little bit of everything! These individuals will be on call for special short term projects with each committee.
